ICMS successfully held the New Year celebration of

"The Golden Snake sends Luck to Welcome the New Year"

On January 31, 2025, the third day of the first lunar month, in order to celebrate the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year, let the participants experience the charm of the Chinese Spring Festival, Institute of Crisis Management Studies Samarpan Academy, Confucius Institute of Tribhuvan University successfully held the New Year celebration of "The Golden Snake sends Luck to Welcome the New Year".

In this activity, we cleverly combined the Chinese Spring Festival science popularization video with the knowledge quiz, so that the participants had a vivid and interesting way to understand the origin of the Chinese Spring Festival, folk customs, meaning, lunar time and other cultural connotations. During the Q&A session, the students actively participated in answering the questions, and the teachers patiently answered the questions, and passed the Spring Festival blessing with rich small gifts as a reward.

In addition to the Spring Festival quiz, we also set up a special experience activity for students to do paper-cut. In the activity, volunteer teacher Luo Jimei introduced to the students in detail the production methods of "four fold paper-cut", "five fold paper-cut", "six fold paper-cut" and "eight fold paper-cut", and personally led the students to create paper-cut, so that they could experience the Chinese New Year. The students showed great interest in the art of paper cutting, creating many colorful and different forms of paper cutting works.

The successful holding of this activity provided a valuable opportunity for Nepali students to have an in-depth understanding of Chinese traditional culture, made them truly feel the unique charm of the Chinese Spring Festival, effectively promoted the exchanges between teachers and students, and further deepened the traditional friendship between China and Nepal.
